Krisztina Vándor, home textile designer and textile artist, combines high-quality standards with her exceptional craftsmanship. Her background in music and mathematics, spatial imagination, and continuous exploration of techniques help her design the most complex weaving drafts while practicing these technologies herself. The more complex the challenge, the better – preserving and passing on distilled experiences as living knowledge is one of the goals of the small-batch and custom textiles created in our studio.

Artistic creation and professional creativity always begin with functionality here. The material is defined by its purpose and character, but this does not impose limitations; rather, it opens up space for imagination, resulting in the highest quality outcomes. The primary guiding principle when considering the possible combinations is usability. Easy cleaning, shape retention, color fastness, durability, natural materials free from harmful substances as well as aesthetic uniqueness, not only demonstrate our expertise but also exemplify human-centered and environmentally conscious design principles that respect natural resources in the long run.

At VANDOR studio®, a contemporary textile design studio we primarily create custom rugs and hand-woven home textiles in-house, completing it with manufactural production involving mills with a long-established tradition. The awareness and the playfulness seen in our home textile collections are equally reflected in the design and weaving of exclusive fabrics, prototypes, reconstruction pieces, and other custom orders that cater to specific needs.
